The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

what is the springtime pattern? Today we did get a few soft bites. They would only bite small bait and were real timid biting

Yep I'd say winter is over and now it's springtime fishing. Probably my favorite time to load the boat with eater blues.

Blue catfish don't really have a season. It might be a little tough to find shad or lock down a pattern for the next couple of weeks but it will pick up soon.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

I would say it probably is over. But anytime you have a good piece of Shad on your hook. You stand a good chance of getting a nice fish. It's about location. The fish are like you and me. When they get hungry they eat. I believe they are hungry my friend. Good fishing! Fish on!

Springtime pattern I usually find around here is shad are very easy to find, as well as good numbers of eater blues. The bigger fish seem to start to disappear during the day when the water warms.

Think shallow right now. Yesterday's 3 biggest for me were 24, 28, and 34. All from 4' and under. Water temp started at 56 and got to 62 in the shallows.
