I've been wanting to put green led lights on my boat since last year. Finally put them on yesterday.
Here's a photo of the boat during the day time, you can see the led strip right under the rubber bumper rail.

Here's an image taken last night

Now I may upset a couple of fellows, but I got the lights off Ebay for $16.96 which included shipping. I spent another $4.99 on some silicone adhesive, as I didn't trust the self stick already on the strip lights. My boat already had an extra toggle switch that had wires already ran to the rear compartment, so I just had to run them out the exhaust circulation vent, under the electric anchor and connect to the lights.
These along with my submersible light should really bring in the baitfish bannana2

Todd, that looks really good! Let us know how they work for you bringing in the crappie at night. I might have to start night fishing just to justify buying the lights!
What would they have cost you from a retailer, just out of curiosity?

The kit I had looked at was $120. Now they were probably better quality lights. I found some cheaper, $8.99 but the number was lower. I don't know the difference, but I bought the higher quality I think from the same seller.

Thanks for the post. I ordered the RGB lights for my boat. 32 ft or 600 RGB LEDs and a wireless remote that includes a dimmer and the ability to change to any color at the push of a button. Total cost was $45. You gotta love Amazon.

I have the RGB on the side of our boat (same control box and remote as the amazon one), only thing that I ran into, watch the control box and keep it dry. I am ordering straight green ones to replace it...

Those are the same lights I got (50/50) and manufacture, just no remote control thumb
Was waiting till tomorrow to put the boat in the lake to let the stickum fully cure, but Belinda & I decided to go to Sandlin Tuesday. Will test them Tuesday or Wednesday night cheers

Those look great and will look even better on the water. banana

I ordered two sets of the 5050 Green LED 16' strips from ebay for my pontoon last August. I paid around $15 per strip. They look great on my pontoon but I haven't fished at night yet. I do think they helped in the slip before I added my underwater mercury vapor light to the slip.

I liked them so well I ordered three more sets with the 24V power supply and rigged them along the deck area of my slip. With the green LED lights and the mercury vapor green underwater lights my slip really shows off with everything on.

Of course I have learnt to turn off the green LED strip lights when I am fishing so the crappie will gather around the suspended attractors in the rear of my slip. smile

I think you will love the effect when you start pulling the bait fish in with those lights. smile

I can answer that one...both...the best thing about them...minimal amp draw and maximum light output!

Now when the weather gets a bit warmer, I may have to ease over your way!!!
