When speed over 12mph depth reading drops to 1.9ft. drop speed reading comes back. Somewhat disconcerting on Texoma.
Thoughts anyone?

Transducer location......It's getting "bad water" when at speed. Post pics of the ducer, and the back of your ride and someone, or more than one, will have suggestions to relocate it.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Thank you. New transducer is mounted where original was mounted -- though the transducer shapes are very different.

You will need to get a 2nd transducer and mount it inside the hull for high speed depth readings. You will also need a splitter that humminbird sells to use both transducers at once.
Transducer part number is the xnt920t
Splitter part number is ASSIDB-Y

Thank you both for your input. I found the problem. The transducer had kicked up. lowered and tightened the adjustment.

Mine is an 898. I have 2nd transducer and 'Y' cable. I loose depth at high speeds still. Then it will come back. My second transducer is mounted just in front of the bilge hole drain in a Skeeter ZX25. Any ideas. Thanks
