 So whats the best crossover bay/bass

That would also cover well with 2 young kids...I am thinking this perfect machine doesnt exist?
Shearwater seems closest but still lacks the seating.
Almost wonder if you could get the Allison Bassport Pro 2+2 built with all salt wiring and decking...
All this down the road is important to me as after our next move ill be shopping for this.
Any ideas on what would cover all these bases other than 3 loans LOL

Boats that are considered "crossovers" come and go in popularity. The Allison Bassport 2+2 is a very interesting boat, as it has back seats". It may have wiring that can withstand saltwater elements. I think what you mean by "decking" is non-skid decking. I wouldn't think that Allison has ever made a boat without carpet; I am not positive. Allison boats are quality, fast boats but they are pricy.
I have a 2001 Triton Tx-21 that I bought for bass fishing and light saltwater fishing. This boat will never go past the jetties. It's just not made for the larger waves you can encounter offshore. Ranger makes an Intracoastal but it still has traditional bass boat seating.

I've done both out of a friends Majek Extreme and it did great. I just don't know why they don't add more deck to that boat like a bass boat. It's not a skinny boat to begin with so the extra weight shouldn't matter much. I would buy one if it had the deck and storage of a bass boat.

You might call Allison and ask about the wiring. At one point they did offer a vinyl kit for the 20' boats, so maybe they can install that on a 21'.
Doesn't Ranger/Bullet offer coastal models?

Most of the shallow water bay boats will fit the bill. Course seating is always fun on these type boats. The Mako 21 LTS has caught my eye, but there are many in this category.
