 Nick Trantham shows off a huge Striper he caught while fishing with me today. Blaine Larue from Larue Architectural Sales treated some of his best customers to a guided trip on Texoma. After my last trip I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep the ball rolling. Then Nick hung on what I initially thought was a stump, until it started swimming off and taking drag. About 10 minutes later (seemed longer), we landed this big girl. My guess is she was right at 20 pounds. I told Nick he had to mount this fish or let her go and he one upped me with having a replica made and letting her go back. She was 35 inches and had a girth of 23 inches. That's a fat fish. I really like this idea of replicas. I've always used the real fish but it sure felt good watching that fish swim off. Great day on Lake Texoma.
