You also have good taste in guides as well..two of the best. The fishing has been great in the delta for everyone but me.For some reason I have found that I am there almost always but very seldom with a rod in my hands. The vacation rental business down there is off the hook.I find I spend all my time with guests and related activity.

This was a pretty good trip. Back in October of 2003 me and my fishing partner, my cousin, booked a 3 day trip to El Salto. We had fished in Mexico before but this was different. We arrived at Anglers Inn and found out what it was to be at one of the finest fishing camps ever. The first day we went out with our guide and came in at lunch catching only two fish. One about 2 1/2 an the other about 3. At lunch we sat at the Lodge and my cousin asked me " I hop we didn't "F" up coming here. The Co-owner of the Lodge, Chappy, asked us how we did and could tell that we were way disappointed. Chappy asked what we were fishing with and laughed. He turned us on to a Storm Wild Eyes 5" swim bait and put us with another guide. Magic!!!!! To make a long story short in three days we caught 85 fish all weighed and the bigger bass we videoed. Out of the 85 fish we caught 2 were under 5 pounds. We had 40 over 8 pounds, 4 over 9 pounds, one over 10 pounds and two over 11 pounds. Two of the fish over 11 pounds were caught within 300 yards of each other - 11.2 and 11.4 in 35 feet of water - no joke. On the final day at the end of the day we had a double - once again on the swimbait. Both fish weighed 9.12 exactly. I know this sounds crazy but we have this entire trip on video along with still photos. I guess sometimes you just get lucky and just hit it when everything is perfect - it doesn't happen often.
