Like the title says just curious if anyone knows of some guides in Louisiana that will take you out for redfish in your kayak, kind of like Slowride Guide Service in Aransas Pass.

Took a trip to the marshes in September with no real idea of where to go or what to do. Tried looking for kayak guides, but didn't come up with more than one or two. Ultimately, I fished around Cocodrie for a few days (on the east side) and Leeville for another couple of days (again, east side). Once I was in the marsh, and I didn't have to go far...fish were everywhere. Redfish went nuts for topwaters (Spook Jrs) and small trout were just moving back in to the marshes (gold spoons, corkies). Pack & Paddle in Lafayette are good folks with alot of info (and a solid Youtube page). My only other inshore experience was from the Port A area and LA was quite a bit different. Tides have more effect than on the TX coast and currents played a bigger part. It helped me to think of the marshes like fishing a river (ambush points, water direction, etc). Reds will hold tight to the edges of the spartina grass.

Ya I've tried using google and looking at different forums but, like you I've only found one or two.

I am going red fishing out of Venice, LA in June. Not sure when you are planning on going, but I can find out if they recommend anyone.

That'd be awesome, right now I have no plans on when or where I want to go. I've just always heard how great Louisiana can be for redfish and figured I'd start looking into the area and put together a fun trip.
