The screw is just there to hold the o-rings. Works great with KVD perfect plastic Ocho's, caught a lot of fish with these o-ring wacky rigged.

You'll catch more if you don't use it

Can you explain what the screw does? Sorry, I didn't see the explanation.

[quote=West Tex fishman]If you will store your O-wacky tool, loaded with rings, in a bag with some of the senkos, it makes it a lot easier to use. The tool gets greasy that way from the worm oils. That's a good idea but I'm not understanding the purpose of the screw. This might be a dumb question but is it to hold the O-rings stacked up in reserve until you get ready to slide/roll them over the big end of the tool with the bait inside positioned for the O-ring to hit in the middle? Thanks. JT [/quote Yes! Screw is only there to hold the o-rings! Don't know about adjustable screw length, but sounds like it's meant to catch more fishermen.....than fish!

The screw has nothing to do with were the O-ring is at on the senko. Its there to hold the O-rings until you are ready to use them. You guys are acting like its a very complex tool, come on!!!

Get electrical shrink tubing and cut it into 1/8" rings. Put it on the worm and heat it up with the lighter until it's tight. It's the cheapest way and the only way I do it anymore. I will sit in my recliner and put rings on a couple bags of worms while I watch tv.

I have never used O-rings. If you put the hook in the worm from head to tail instead of side to side you don't need O-rings. I use about 3/4" of lead core solder in the head of the worm for a little weight. Do it right and it is pretty weedless as well because the hook point is up on the fall.

Yep the screw is simply there to reload the o-rings once you use them up. You back the screw out, load o-rings, replace screw. The tube itself is wider in diameter than the o-rings which stretches the o-ring out allowing you to simply roll it onto the worm.
If you remove the screw, you don't have to stretch every o-ring out to slide it back onto the tube to reload.
But as the gentleman said above, trying to manage the o-rings while the screw is out can be a little frustrating. depending on the elasticity of the o-ring, it might be easier to reload it on the opposite end of the screw.

Do you all know where I can find the attachments for the wacky rig so I won't have to hook through the worm? Someone told me about them but I don't know what they are called or where to find them. They hold the worm on the hook without piercing it and tearing it on every bite. you can go to your local hardware store and bye just the O-rings, its a lot cheaper that way. But works the same way

unscrew the casing off a fat ball point pen and you have a much cheaper o-ring tool.
