I recently bought a humminbird 598 hd si combo, I am having problems in two areas with this thing.

1.The gps is showing me on land no where near a body of water is there a way you are supposed to calibrate it?

2.I have marked and recorded multiple places with the unit, When i put the sd card in my computer i show them to be on the sd card, but when i try to upload them on humminbird pc it says no waypoints created and will not upload the sd card. any suggestions?

If your map data is incorrect, there is a map offset setting in the unit menu.
That is common for locations that are not surveyed by the map compamy and just used scanned paper maps.

Your waypoints will not be on a memory card unless you Export them to the card. When you do that, you will have a MATRIX folder on the card. That is what HumminbirdPC recognizes as well as the unit when loading GPS data to the unit via memory card.
