Fishing was decent first thing this morning around 8 i had 3 quick keepers and broke off a giant with a follower in the pads.

Mid lake docks light line and finesse brought the keepers.

The big fish were on swimbaits in the pads...they came otu together and i stalled it and one nailed it..Guestimate is 6-7 and the other with it looked to be a twin...It was within site and i watched it happen and i did the gorilla hookset and snapped it off.

Fishing slowed when the wind kicked up oddly enough.

4 Good follows on an A rig near the Treatment creek.

Saw a MASSIVE dead slab crappie at schumanns.

There was a game boat dropping in just as I was leaving. I was very nice and corteous...last year i even got on one of their rigs and reset their humminbirds for them so they could get map details after an update...This guy had the personality of a brick and was rather curt with his questions (putting it nicely). FYI If I treat you nicely and with respect and am 200% compliant i expect at least a similar courtesy in return.

I know you may deal with A holes all the time but its attitudes like you gave me that make people hate yall.

Sounds like his boss might have told him he could get off early on a Friday afternoon only if there were no boat trailers in the parking lot! rolfmao

I had a similar incident in Cabelas. There was a table with a GW sitting there handing out brochures or something and I walked up and asked a question. The guy was really rude and acted like I ruined his day just by talking to them. Maybe he though having to be doing that was beneath his station and he should have been in the field looking in peoples live wells. I think there must be something about having the general public have to kiss your butt everyday that affects the ego and it carries over into every encounter you have. I agree with the OP..I don't want to be the guy's new best friend, I just expect to be treated with civility, so, unless I give you an attitude, there's no reason for you to give me one.

Every Game Warden I've ever come across has been courteous and friendly.
I know when one approaches me he has a job to do and I'll greet him and give him my license or whatever he wants and I don't try to make small talk.
After the usual business is done all the wardens I've come in contact with will then initiate the small talk and all have been quite friendly.
In my opinion they can have all the attitude they want, just as long as I'm within the law not doing anything wrong, and they don't write me a ticket.

Just like any other group of people; some nice, some not nice, and some having a bad day. There are some groups of people who don't have to put up with attitude from the public several times a day, and make a whole lot more money than game wardens, that have just as many jerks. It is what it is...........

I haven't been too big of a fan of the way I've been treated out there either. I just try to remind myself that even though I'm easy to deal with and give them all the room they need...they still have to deal with a lot of people that are complete a-holes. Doesn't make it any more pleasant...just makes it easier to let it roll off your back. It would be nice to run into one every now and then with a little pleasantness about him though...

On another note...nice report. Especially after the front yesterday. Sucks you lost a good one though. A couple of us had a discussion at the ramp Sunday before the Lunkerhunters about the light line theory. Good arguments and results from some that don't use anything less than 15lb, but to me, I still feel like I'm doing the right thing by sticking with 6-10lb for most applications. Part of it's just confidence, but another thing I like is the suppleness of the lighter line. Heavier Flouro, especially in the colder months can be a pain to deal with imo.
