Went out for a few hours the other day on Lake Benbrook to see if my spots were producing crappies yet and low and behold they were!

I even caught a bass

Nice! I really need one of you crappie guys to show me the ropes out there. I have an offer from Sac-A-Lait on here too to be taken out on his boat but I really want to learn from my yak. Should probably take him up on his offer anyways.

Also if you don't mind me asking. What were the water temps out there?

If Pat is offering an instructional trip with him you had better go and not think twice about it! I've fished with Pat a handful of times I can say without a doubt that he is probably the best local stick (crappie)on that lake and a hell of a nice guy too. I don't really put out open invites for crappie trips on Benbrook but if you ever want to go sometime shoot me a pm and I will see if we can make it happen, Benbrook is my favorite local lake.

Sweet, some big ol slabs! I'm still learning the ropes regarding crappie, but I caught my limit Monday & again on Tuesday though not at Benbrook. I'd say it's definitely crappie time!

I caught my fish in 3-5ftw. You can catch them this time of year anywhere in that depth, just get out and fish
