A friend and i are fishing the tourny this weekend. never fished there before. anyone have any tips/info that would help

I'll be up there.. Water temp was 50 in the morning and 55 by the evening. I stayed up north most of the time with little success.

I have been lucky enough to fish that tournament back when I had my Cat but that has been about 15 years ago. Great tournament. The afternoon we got there we fished for a couple of hours in shorts and tee shirts. Practice was great on spinnerbaits, Long A's and jigs mainly on points. Then first day of the tournament it sleeted and snowed all day, we didn't get a bite. Then second day of the tournament we watched take off in about 19 degree weather from our heated hotel room across the street. Great tournament given by a first class company and people.
