You may grow scales or become able to breath under water or talk to the auquatic life, it's just to early to tell at this point...

Its a bullhead. I know I know hard to believe wrong color and all.

First let me explain the head, the fish is starting to starve and is borderline emaciated. With cats when the start to starve the head looks all big but it is the body that is shrinking and pulling the skin back on the head. This is pretty common and nothing I can't explain.

Now the color, I have seen many times but I must admit I can't explain it at all. I have caught many of these silver/white bullheads in the pond at Cravens Park in Arlington.

Last year I brought one home and put it in my fish tank. Wanted to get a mate and see if I could breed them.

One problem two days into his stay in my tank dark spots started to appear, a week in he looked like an appalosa (half that wierd silver color and half dark like normal). Then by 1.5 weeks he was a NORMAL YELLOW BULLHEAD.

Here is a pic of that fish when he first came out of the lake. Only difference was the ones I caught were not starving.

Like I said I can't explain the color but once in my take and well fed he turned normal. So it could be diet related but who knows.

I thought I was onto something (albino bullheads) but indeed it is either environmental or nutritional not genitic.
