Myself and Mike "USMC_GY" hit both Lake Dunlap,A local Spot,and Canyon Lake these past couple of Days. Started on Dunlap where the fishing was fair. We picked up a few Redear and Redbreast along with some Bluegill. Kept em for the frying pan. Fish were caught off of tree lines and next to docks using worms with a bottom and drop shot technique. I hit a local pond Saturday and picked up plenty of Bass and some nice Redbreast. Worms were used and fish were caught next to brush piles. All were released. Me and Mike fished Canyon Lake Monday and the Crappie bite was good. We caught about 40 Crappie with 10 keepers. We had two nice slabs get off. I also caught a nice Flathead between 8 to 10 pounds. The drag puller took about 10 minutes to land with the ultra light. Fish were caught using live minnows and were holding next to brush piles. We kept a few Crappie along with the Flathead for the dinner table. A great few days of fishing some super places. It don't get any better.

Sound's like a awesome day of fishing Banker(day's)I caught some kittie's the other day at the creek on some light gear in the 4 to 5 pd range.It was awesome,bet that flattie provided you with a real nice fight......

Side Note: As for my favorite fish to eat! Crappie,White Bass,Redear,Bluegill,and Cats! Can't beat em.

I do too, Chuck. Fronts keep coming through every 2 or 3 days. This kills the bite.

Tell me about it! It's been this way all winter long and now into spring. I only wish we would get a lot of rain with these fronts. So far it's been very little down here. How are the water conditions in your area?

Nice variety of fish. Flathead,Bluegill,and Crappie! Some super good eating right there! Good job guys.



Side Note: How deep were you fishing?

NICE!! Once Cliff introduced me to the belly meat from a yellow, I have become addicted to it. LOVE to catch a box yellow! Good haul!

Thanks Curtis and Steven for the replies. Steven: Cliff always said that the Flatheads were the best eating of all the Cats. I caught many of Flathead with him. Most were HUGE and we released em. However we did get some good eating size also. Those were some great times.



Curtis: We caught these in about 20 feet of water! Won't belong until the coves get super active. You fishing the main lake or the channel on Mcqueeney?
