Vmc makes a drop shot hook that makes it quick and easy I got some #8's. Used to use them for bass, but now crappie. Belinda likes to use a double drop shot instead of a normal tandem rig, as she can use a larger weight, keep a better vertical presentation in the back of the boat, stay in contact with the bottom & still feel light bites in deep water

Looks very very effective but a ton of hang up potential? Not really! Honest...... I fished with a drop shot A LOT for bass before coming to the light. It surprised me on it's ability to go thru brush and the smaller #8's for crappie work even better.
