I see lots of talk of catfish and stripers. Folks post shots of black bass. It made me start wondering. What are you fishing for? Black Bass? Crappie? Sunfish/bream/bluegill? Striper? Whites? Cats? Reds? or anything that's in the water?

I like cats. Striper are fast becoming a new favorite also. For the most art anything that can tow my yak a bit. If it cant...its bait. Hahaha.

This past weekend I drifted cats on lavon. It was kind of slow, but caught a few and had a lot of fun.

White bass mostly with a little black thrown in (I seem to have forgotten how to catch a black anyways). Catfish and crappie have been on the back burner for a month or so.

Anything that bites. My list of species from the kayak in my first 13 months in the sport:
Largemouth bass Smallmouth bass Crappie Striper White bass Catfish (blue, channel, gafftop, hardhead) Grass carp Buffalo carp Redfish Speckled trout Flounder Black drum Toadfish King mackerel Spanish mackerel Jack crevalle Red snapper Blacktip shark Bull shark
Hoping to double that list this year with some trips to Florida and up North, starting with a trip to Oklahoma this weekend in hopes of landing a 60+ lb paddlefish.

This year I am concentrating on breaking my black bass PB of 3lbs but I can't stop chasing HYBRIDS! Love them suckers. But just being on the water with family/ friends is always fun no matter what's being caught.
