to me today. Went to the usual humps and marked very few fish. No bites there nor near the sail boat club. Caught two LMB on my way back home in about 4 fow under docks. Other than that it was a slow afternoon. Fished from 2-6. Saw a few people fishing but didn't see them catching anything either. Anyone else do any better today?

Give it a week things should start looking up.

Went catfishing for about an hour and a half. Fished with frozen shad and caught 4 eaters.

Yeah, thats what I should have done. I have plenty frozen shad in the freezer. I was hoping to find some on points, but it just didnt happen. I want back out with the family around 7 for a spin and marked quite a few more fish in about 23-27fow. i'll probably go out around that time maybe Thurs with some frozen shad.

Sounds like my Sunday. All I wound up with was three frozen kiddos

I was out there Monday night from about 5:30 until 10:00. Spent a lot of time chasing bait with no luck. I marked quite a few fish in 9 to 13 fow, so I stopped and fished a jig + crappie candy for a bit. Caught 2 white bass and 2 small blue cats. Looked like the fish were active and saw a few hitting the surface. Oh, saw about a 10 lb. carp jump maybe 4 feet in front of the boat while I was idling around watching the graph. Scared the [censored] out of me.

Going out again Friday morning. Hopefully better luck on the shad and on the fishing. Water temps were mostly 60 to 62.

It's funny you mentioned carp. I almost trolled right over a pair to the east of the sail boat club while fishing shallow. Then, again about 100 yards further east. Then one last time before I got to the rocky point. I don't know if it was the same pair, which I doubt, but it was always two and every time in about 4 to 6 fow. I probably should have netted them for catfish bait.
