I would say four keepers is still a pretty good way to spend the afternoon thumb

Hit it yesterday. 6-9 pm I jigged, slip corked and threw a minnow down there. 2 misses and a couple of fish. I tried out lots of different jig and colors.Went to my favorite jig (and last one) the black and green caught 2 back to back and then promptly donated my jig to the brushpile.

You guys are getting me excited! I'm planning to start tying from the bank next week sometime. I haven't been out to phantom in a couple of years, and I know I'm going to have to scout some new spots. Just thinking about fishing again is getting me excited!

It will probably be Monday or Tuesday before I can get out again. Hopefully the water will have warmed up some. These cool nights sure don't help with that much though.

I'm planning on trying to get out tomorrow, probably late morning or early afternoon and fish til dark. These cold nights sure aren't going to help warm the water up any though. I'm ready for that shallow bite.

You and I both. My kids and I fished honey hole Dock Saturday we caught 5 in about 2 hours. There were a few people who had fished there all day and had a basket full, one person had a couple over 2lbs

I was at the dock, between 9-12 managed 4 keepers, stil not hot and heavy did thorough shallow water check between 7-9 walked a lot of rocks slip corkin, 1 fish at first light and then nada, thats when I went back to the dock to catch the few that I did, 3 more days till the weekend and will hit it again. Don't know unless ya go.

the old barge coughed up a limit of keepers this morning tween two of us(pig was 14")
wind was up to 18mph by 10am and we booked it to clean fish and have a few beers sitting on the flat head route.
Flatheads were good today,37,22,21 and 9 for a close to a windy west Texas Sunday!

Good E Nuff!
