Nice move old timers!

I had some old timer cut between us and the bank on a point a couple years ago at Fork about 10 seconds after I had made a long cast with a crankbait, the crankbait was floating and he ended up getting my line in his prop. I just hit the button and let him get the the whole spool in his prop as he drove by with a smirk on his face.

Hey, not ALL us 'old timers' are like that. Just ran in to someone who thinks they 'own' that part of the lake, I guess.....
Most of us 'old timers' are as or more respectful of the rights of others on the lakes...at least I think so....

Sadly, stuff like this shouldn't surprise most of us bass fisherman.

I have seen, and heard, where a guy wasn't going to put up with it and had a large crankbait on. Instead of casting out and letting it get in the motor, he purposely casted out over their boat when they were close enough and made it a point to reel in very fast. I don't recommend that, but just be careful when fishing.

Always best to be respectful while on the water.

You ran into an old coot that apparently thought you were fishing in his boat lane, one incident doesn't make a trend one way or the other. If you pay attention to who the vast majority of the fishermen are its not hard to determine who generates the most disturbances on the water. My grandfather used to tell me the one with the loudest quack is usually the biggest duck.

Lots of folks are gonna hug the poles while running on caddo especially if they aren't familiar with the river.
