May be a dumb questions. But has anyone figured out a good way to not go all summer with the funny tan lines. I have to wear glasses in the sun and I get em every year.

I've worn sun glasses so long the skin around my eyes has a permanent "lightning" to them. ugh... if I could back in time I would have actually wore less sun glasses, more sun creme, more hats, etc.

Wear a hat and wear a Buff. You can buy a Buff at BassPro or Cabelas and it will save your face neck, ears everything! I don't go on the water without it. As much as I fish, I have to do all I can to avoid getting too much sun and skin cancer. 3 Years ago people used to stare at me trying to figure out what I was wearing and now I see people wearing them all the time. Coastal fisherman having been wearing them for years!

I love my Buff. Keeps me covered in the summer and keeps me warmer in the winter. Helps to keep my eyes from tearing up running into a cold wind. You can adjust the front as you want it to keep the sun off your nose and cheeks. It keeps your hat on while your running the lake and your ears burn off. Overall, hopefully it reduces my chance of skin cancer significantly!! I think it would have saved you a lot of pain Steve.

Buffs come in a thin material for UV protection in warm/hot weather and Fleece for cold weather warmth and UV protection. Columbia also makes a neck gator made from their Omni-Freeze material which is much cooler in hot weather, I switched to these for summer time and have been very pleased. It has a UFP 50 rating.

Raccoons are pretty too! Wear it as a sign of success. Always opens the door for me to talk fishing and be proud you get to spend T.O.W. ( time on water)
![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/usergals/2015/03/full-13-47204-guice.jpg) Go early, stay late! The best time to go fishing is as soon as you can!
