I quit eating at Angelo's in Ft. Worth years ago. One of the most overrated barbeque places in the state. I did eat at Franklin's in Austin can say it is worth the wait. I thought Ribmasters in Whitehouse could give Stanley's and Country Tavern a run for their money.

#5 on D magazines top ten BBQ in Dallas and trust me it's out this world good. If you don't show up before 11:30 for lunch you won't get any brisket because they'll be sold out. They sell out of meat every day it's so good. I had some today.

OMG. Looked at that list and saw Lockhart Smokehouse. Went to their website and I am excited. Central Texas bbq in Dallas. Ever since we have lived here I still havent found what I consider "great" texas q. Went to rudys in allen last weekend and took Salt Lick sauce with us just to get some of the flavor we are used to.

Anybody tried it?

Louie Mueller's in Taylor. Their Beef Ribs and Brisket were the best I've ever had.

Lockhart is pretty good. It's not La Barbecue or Louie Muellers but it's good. I like their beef clod a lot.
