Some of the bigger fish are starting to bite. With some warmer weather forecated for the next 7-10 days, maybe these fish will finally start moving up.
Water temps last night ranged from 54-56 degrees. It was 59-62 degrees 3 weeks ago, then was knocked back down by the front.

It was a pretty tough bite last night to say the least in post frontal conditions wtih blue bird sky's, but a nice 4.17lb smallie was caught.


And this one just caught a few minutes ago

The bottom fish went 7.5lbs and was 23" long and extremely fat. I was told it was caught on a jig in 15' of water.

I am not 100% sure how Brad caught that smallmouth. After fishing with him many times all over the place, and one of the few persons I've seen drop shot on Lake Austin, I'm going to guess it was a dropshot.

Sorry brah, not drop shotting time just yet. That water temp gets to about 75, it will be game on.

Yeah I think the TTZ mojo only works on Dunlap and Austin. Maybe I need to go buy North Face stuff tho. 17 something won the TTZ tournament, which I think is amazing for that lake!
