The CFDF (Center For Diseased Fish) if there were such an outfit.......would declare that stripers in Lake Texoma have lock jaw.

No matter where I went today, fish were stacked like firewood........couldn't buy a bite. Slabbed. Sassy'd. Coho'd. Trolled. Prayed. Nothing worked.

Came back in after about two hours of frustration. frown

Going again tomorrow. smile

Swim bait worked for me a week ago, others in my group did well drifting a dead stick fluke. Good luck next trip.

We spoke as I was leaving and you were hitting the water today Axman. Sounds like the morning and afternoon situation was the same. We hit the regular spots and marked "all the fish in the lake". Threw the tackle box at them, even tried some rattle traps. Got hit twice but no fish at all.

Good meeting you!

Happened to us on Saturday we couldn't buy a bite.

Wind killed today's trips. Yes all of a sudden it has gotten very difficult. I have my theories but last Saturday with that perfect Striper weather the fish only bit in couple areas and not very well at all. Sunday weather got us and yesterday was still slow frown

Lightnin Rod. Yeah. Im old. smile

My experience with stripers is that when there are that many fish and no hits in 2 hours, save your gas, go home and eat a ham samich. smile

I managed to catch one over yesterday but you are spot on. I am marking schools of fish that are unreal. Surely they are not all monster gizzard shad. Up lake yesterday the bit lasted about 30 minutes before dark and after the sun went down.

I'll be back tomorrow. They will either starve to death or start biting.

Was that your big blue cat on the jug by 377? I pulled up a jug in the cover over on the south side and it had at least a 4 foot blue cat on it. Splashed cold water all over me.

I was there today. I got skunked. Fish are acting weird. I had several light hits. Normally those automatically hook up when strolling or trolling. Not today. Water temp was up to 55.
