At the BASSmaster Classic Humminbird stated they are working on a solution to share the Waypoints between current models and ONIX. It will not be able to share the icon but will be able to share the location between units via Ethernet Cable.

That's good news for Humminbird owners Thanks for the follow up Doug. Unfortunately for me, I've already moved in another direction. Still a Humminbird fan though, because they treated me well the last 5 years.

Played with one at BPS and noted that the touchscreen response time was very slow.

Does the all in one transducer mean you don't need a shoot thru hull transducer to get high speed readings anymore? and If yes, are the all in one transducers compatible to the older units? 998 or 898?

The old one could do high speed readings from the HDSI transducer but you risk damage from underwater hazards and fine tuning to get clean waterflow across the face of the transducer so most opted to split 2D readings to a second transducer. Same thing goes for the ONIX it's going to be easier and insure against damaging the All-In-One Transducer.
