Has anyone used the 7'10" heavy cranking rod ? Saw one on TW and looks reasonably priced, need it for the big baits

Halo has some of the best rods and are extremely overlooked. You'll love it, Randal Tharp is behind them.

I wonder why they don't provide any line weight, taper, or lure weight ratings on their rods. Just "medium", "heavy", etc. doesn't mean much to me as one manufacturer's "medium-heavy" is another's "medium".
Maybe I'm missing something?

Yeah, I saw this video when looking at them. Not a chance. I didn't know that a rod could break into 4 pieces.

They are excellent rods, I had 6 Of them..used all last year, not one single issue...only thing I don't like is the resale value, they are hard to sell

I like the comment " I handled it in the store" and then the youtube video guy. Cracks me up how people give advice on things they haven't used in real life. As for the actions they probably just assume someone is smart enough throw a worm on a med hev fast action rod and can figure out the applications. I guess company's have to explain things for the some people and put "worm" on the blank...

If Tharp is behind them they must be good!
