Yeah except folks here in North Texas put in the time, money, and effort to put these things on... The "North Texas Kayak Fishing Get-Together" is actually the official name I believe. Sorry brotha. Come on up here to the better part of the state and you won't have to miss out. cheers

Marcus254,

Our North Texas GTG are open to any and all kayakers/future kayakers in the state of Texas. 4 years ago we a small group of us started organizing the event we had about 30 people show. We never thought they would grow to the 150+ range in such a short time. We're seeing people drive in for the day from Waco, Austin, Wichita Falls, etc to attend these bi-yearly events. I encourage you to plan on attending as with each event it's getting bigger and better, but still manages to maintain the family feel and comradery we have on this forum. It is not an exclusive event to those of us who live in and around the metroplex.

I'm sorry bro I think you misunderstood. It's certainly not *only* for North Texas people to attend. Any and all are welcome. I was just saying that since it's North Texas guys that put in all the time and resources, they obviously want it to be a location convenient to them. They already put in a huge sacrifice to make this possible for everyone while getting nothing tangible out of it... asking them to do it hours away from home would be a bit much.

Sorry if I offended you man, didn't mean it like that at all. I hope you can make it, they are a lot of fun.
