the water up north was about 1-2 degrees cooler than it needed to be to really turn on. Ill bet that this weekend the north end is much better than it has been.

I fished 1/2 day on Saturday in Buck creek area. I threw a jerk bait and a jig without a bite. I fished normal pre spawn areas starting at the point leading into the spawning pockets and working toward the back of three different areas. I think I heard the A-Rig was the winning pattern last weekend but not sure what area they were fishing. No one around me had boated a fish and there was plenty of traffic up there.(please bring back the 18" minimum so all the tourneys leave!!) Water Temps at the ramp in Buck were 54-56 and 51-53 once you got around the corner down by the tracks. Water color was fairly clear but we got a lot of rain Saturday afternoon so it may have muddied up a bit. I would guess that by the full moon phase in April everything will be perfect.
