Not sure if many of you have seen this. It looks like a cool idea if they have enough folks out there using it.
I do not have anything to do with these folks other than getting in on the pre-order. I will be putting one in
my kayak when I head to the coast in July.

I seen that advertised sometime last year and have been waiting for them to be manufactured and reviewed. But it seem like they keep pushing the ship date. If they work I think it would be awesome. If you get one let us know how it works out for you.

I don't think this is that practical for a kayak unless I'm misunderstanding it. It sounds like it's more for locating things you've misplaced in a general area. It can tell you if you're getting warmer when you're within 150 feet and it makes the Tile make a beeping noise. If someone steals your kayak, you aren't going to be within 150 feet of it. It says your phone will tell you the "last GPS coordinate that it saw your Tile" but I believe that means the last time it was within 150 feet of the Tile. That's what it sounds like to me, anyway. I think this would be more handy for your car keys or wallet than a kayak. But I could be misunderstanding.

Someone posted up a sort of "portable lowjack" a month or two ago that did sound perfect for finding a stolen kayak. Can't remember what it was though.

Will def keep y'all posted if they ever get it done. I have a 1 1/2 year old that likes to run off with remotes for the tv. That was the main purpose for the purchase. If something is stolen with that tile on it, it will send a signal to the nearest phone if it has the tile app on it. The signal will be sent to you with the last GPS location letting you know the area it is in. "Hopefully"
