Made a trip out west last month. Passed through Utah and Wyoming.

These are shots of the area near Jackson Hole, WY., Yellowstone and S.W. Utah (Zion National Park). All the "red rock" photos are in Utah.

Any fish in that beautiful lake? You got proof.....in pictures?

Great photos.

Look! Up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's an EMP!

Did not wet a line and I only got to basically drive through.

Unfortunately, most of my "vacations" still consist of visiting relatives. So, my enjoyment of the scenery has been fleeting.

I pretty much made up my mind that my next vacation will be a real one. I'm going to throw a tent and camping gear in the back of my truck and hit some of the same areas.

I like remote camping. The nice thing about the western states is that there is a lot of BLM land where you can camp pretty much anywhere you want.

I also saw some areas along the Shoshone River east of Yellowstone that I'd really like to check out.

My other dream is to take a very long trip on my motocycle. I'd like to start in So. Ca. and go up the coast all the way to Vancouver and then cut across Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and N. New Mexico. I'd carry a pup tent and enough clothes to get me by.

I love this country. I can't see any reason to go anywhere else 'till I've seen all of it.

There's something about the west that calls to me. It's a very visceral thing. I can't explain it. If I'd been born 150 years ago, I'd probably have been a "mountain man".

cool pics!

Is that Jenny Lake?? If it is, we hiked around it to the falls about 2000ft up.

We did the national park tour one year. 4 weeks and we hit Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain and Flaming Gorge.

We did the camping/hiking thing in all the parks. Backpacking is really the only way to see the parks.

Just don't forget your turkey bells. eeks
There were grizzly warnings on the trail heads we took in Glacier and Yellowstone. Spotted both black and griz while meandering through the woods. cool

The Grand Titons...........havent been there in 25 years. But I traveled Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming selling groceries in the 1970s and early 1980s. Had my fishing vest, fly rod, and waders in the trunk of the car ........always! smile

A bad day fishin' is still better than work!

Karma,
Did Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Montana and Idaho 2 weeks ago. Fished them all, it was great.

Funny though my biggest Cutthroat came out of a tiny creek behind an apartment complex in the middle of Jackson, go figure?

I definately did not want to come back to this frying pan of a place that is for sure.

I will be back. I'm never truly gone.....Last post by Brad RIP
