Fished all day Saturday. Found active fish above the bridge up Ewing Cut on spinner baits and creature baits. Everything below the bridge was dead that we found. 15.55lbs won our 7 team club tournament. We only managed 10lbs but caught over 40.

I'm not being rude. I'm just calling you out on something that is not true. I'm sure I was not fishing where you were, but I ASSURE you it wasn't as crowded as you said.

I think at some point I counted about 7-8 boats working that grass line just south of the bridge and you had to take a number (figuratively speaking) to work the northwest bank of Indian Creek.

We fished out of Powell Park Friday afternoon - Sunday lunch. Water is upper 50's on main lake and about 1/2 back into the creeks. We saw plenty of 60 degree water, even after the 2 1/2" of rain Saturday night and Sunday morning. We did see 65 degree water in Buck Bay, which seemed to be warmer than the West side of Ash Bayou. When the sun did peak out a little on Saturday we saw lots of males cruising in one pocket. The back of Pigeon Roost was very dirty from the rains yesterday and every creek we went over coming home was flooding.

As for baits, we really started hammering them on a baby 1 minus (crawdad)and swimming fluke (watermelon). I backed out yesterday and caught about a dozen in 6-8' on a c-rig baby brush hog. Lots of males with several in the 2.5 - 3.5 pound range. You could tell they were just moving up because they were so white.

I would really expect it to be full blown spawn this weekend and a little sad I've got coaching duty this weekend. BassChamps should have some really good weights.

Thanks to Bud and everyone at Powell Park. From cabin to boat to food they did a great job of taking care of us.

Come on Yank. Go find something else to complain about.

I enjoyed reading this thread and seeing what's up all over Texas.

But that was my point with my first post. I'm sure several people read his post and think Rayburn is crowded and is virtually a miserable place to fish when it's far from it! Who wants to fish where you can "step from boat to boat"? If you're fishing in a crowded spot, then you should get out of the community holes. I fished from 7:20am Sunday until 1:45 in one cove. I never saw a single bass boat all day til I started running back towards the ramp.

I'm done with this post. Exaggerate and mislead on. rolfmao
