Had the good fortune to fish with Rob and two of his grandsons, Jackson and Andrew today. Launched at Don's Port and headed to the spot we caught all those fish Tuesday. Marked lots of shad then started marking lots of fish, spot lock on and get ready. Rob went through a quick lesson with Jackson and Andrew on how to catch fish at Cedar Creek this time of year. They don't get to fish with Rob much because they are both into sports, Andrew the baseball player and Jackson the mile runner. They both sat, listened, dropped their baits down and caught the first two fish. They were puttin it on Rob and I and we had a blast watching them. Many doubles some tripples and one time all four of us had a fish on. It was a blast. Jackson and Andrew are two fine boys, I know Rob is very proud of them. I hope I get to fish with them again sometime. We stayed until the rain started coming down a little. Was a few more boats out today than last Saturday. Weather was perfect for fishing.

First two fish in the boat

Andrew with a nice one

Glad you had a great day, I thought this little warming trend might get them moving.

Looks like I thought wrong.

fastguy, don't think it will be much longer and they will move. Water temp was 52-53. I am surprised that this pattern has been so consistent and lasted so long. We sat in one spot the entire day and they just kept coming through as long as you thump the boat. About noon they slowed down but still had fish coming through.

I was fifty yards from this group as I had clients who just wanted to catch a mess of fish. Let me tell you what, Mr Strasemeier and company were a very entertaining group, even from fifty yards out. I always knew when they had a fish because I could hear everyone laughing and just having a ball. It was good to see you on the water Mr Strasemeier, and thank you for taking those kids fishing.

The pattern is still the same as of yesterday morning. We got blown off the lake today, or I would have a more updated report.

Thanks to you Lane we have been able to find and catch fish on Cedar Creek for over a month now. We noticed you stayed there quite a while also, assume you were loading the boat for your customers as usual. Poor little thump buddies took a beating but held up to a whole lot of fish before having to replace them. I let Jackson use my rig and he would not let me change his thump buddie because he was catching so many fish. By the end of the day it was just hangin on by a thread and still catching fish.
