We ended up with 16th place with 14.01. Almost a 2 pound average!
We flat out wacked the fish, just couldn't find the big females.

CW And he did all that with his outboard broke down!!!!! Congrats. thanks for the kind words guys, it means a lot. and thanks to the guys who have been sending the texts. we appreciate it. we struggled yesterday looking for fish, and until around 10am today, we only had 6 fish that totaled about 8lbs. once we figured out what we were doing wrong, well, it turned out to be a pretty good day. the 3 pounder was the highlight, too. and I dont get but half the credit. I was busy looking down at the trolling motor trying to keep us in place, and Rob says, "you've got a fish dude, set the hook," or something to that effect. I never felt her eat it, but he saw it. crazy 2 days of fishing, not to mention the motor problem. thanks again, fellers. it was fun.

What a tournament Two weeks ago we couldn't find a fish at Palestine. In fact I don't think I could have gone to HEB and bought 7 fish; we were that bad. Two weeks later and there the fish were. Most of the fish were caught 3-8 FOW. Lots of males just moving in. Water temps were 56-58. Our best baits were slab bandit in meller yeller, and black shad and crawler in the orange/chart and a hand tied minnow imitation by Heath from Slab Strikr jigs. I'm not sure color made a difference as you can tell from this variety. Six of the top 10 teams were CAT teams and the Crazy Angler teams took 4th, Mark Standridge and Jason Townsend, 6th Max and I, and 7th Roger and Pam Putman. This was our best day for 7 fish at 15.2 lbs and that's only good enough for 6th place. Our smallest fish in the 7 was 1.96. Big fish was 2.37. We culled 6 fish that weighed 1.87, 3 that weighed 1.94 and 1 went 1.96. But we're not disappointed at all, great day on the water. We caught over 50 fish and most were over 1.40. Congrats to all the CAT teams. And to Lane and Rob for one great day. I talked to Lane the night before and he was afraid the fish he had found a week before had left. Didn't take him long to make a short move and he had 'em dialed in.

Congrats lane, I didn't know it was you that caught the 3.07!
I don't think I have ever had a better day fishing. By far the most fish between 1.75 and 1.9 I've ever caught.
The weigh in was out of control! I just had one of the best fishing days I could remember and barely cracked the top half of the field.
Congrats to everyone, I am still in awe at the caliber of fisherman(women) we have.

I had a ball yesterday catching some huge fish and lots of them, we had 14.89 and finished 10th. I was thinking at least we would be top 5 little did I know that everybody had an awesome day on the water as well. This was my first time to fish Lake Fork and you folks that live around there have one hell of a crappie lake with some huge crappie to catch. All I can say is WOW at what kinda day we had and may not ever happen for me again but those big sows were smoking those jigs when you got it in the right spot.

Rhonda and I weighed in our best weight ever--15.14--and that put us in 9TH PLACE. What an incredible tournament. Hats off to Crappie Masters and congrats to all the teams that brought in so many monster stringers. The crappie fishing world is buzzing about Lake Fork now. At the weigh in, Whitey Outlaw said that he thought Lake Fork was an "untapped" crappie hotspot and he wants to see Crappie Masters hold a national championship on the lake in the future. We talked to Mike Valentine (owner of Crappie Masters) last night and he is extremely interested in bringing a future Crappie Masters National Championship to Fork.
Let's keep the buzz going and bring a National Championship to Lake Fork!!!

25 of the 40 teams had at least 13 lbs. I'd say that's pretty damn good.
