Just fyi there is a change suggested in the upcoming regulations for next year to allow jug lines to be any color.
Personally for safety reasons I think they need to remain white.

I believe it is any color but red which we remain the color for commercial fisherman. I agree, why change, just leave them white.

I wonder why they are dealing with something that seems to me is a non issue except for new juggers, I really don't understand our government sometimes.

Plus commercial fishing is only allowed in certain counties in Texas. I do agree with ya'll just leave them white. White to me is much easier to see on the water.

Personally, after searching for White Noodle material so I could run a few. I have come to the conclusion that the guy I had to order my stuff from must be Kinfolk with one of the commissioners......John

if you want to make your own out of pool noodle foam, white pool noodles are seemingly impossible to find, yeah I know wrap in white duct tape...but that is kind of a hassle...also would like different color options so could color code jugs by depth they are set at, or what kind of bait on them, or when fishing with a group of clients they can choose a jug color that is "theirs" for friendly competition....just some thoughts. I currently use white ones but would like the other colors option if it passes. downside might be that you would probably see a whole lot more noodle jugs out there....but then again maybe not, I have seen plenty of jugs that werent white already.

I am glad to see it change... Tired of having to wrap my pool noodles in white duct tape.

For personal use you should be able to use whatever color you want, the way it used to be in Texas. I fish in Oklahoma too and you can use any color. This change is way passed due. The change is due to public pressure to change the limitation of white which was originally driven by the powers in Austin.

Here is where you can by the white foam noodles. It's called backer rod and is a construction material. You'll have to drill the 1/2" hole through it, no big deal. I paid $10 a stick and three of them was enough to make 24 lines. http://www.ssicm.com

It is just a proposal at this point. The law has not changed yet.

I think it should left as is. Its too easy to follow the rules as the are. With a little effort, you can find the materials you needed to make them.
Besides, what else would you have to whine about?

Is there any advantage to using a noodle over say an empty bleach jug?
