Thanks. But kids are easier than adults. Kids don't listen to the mom or dad while fishing. But when them are next to me, they listen for some reason. They don't make up their own rules and basically copy what I show them and don't have bad habits. Lol.
Report: today was so bad that I'm not going to talk about it.
As for the rain. Calling for an inch. If we get it, I'll be at Rowlett Creek Full Time!
Creeks just need to rise 3-4 foot during a flood and its game on. Maybe even a school of hybrids should make it up.

Hey, TarponFly, I've got a question for you, not sure if this is the place for it or not though. I have a fly rod I've never used before, I have the basics down well enough (I hope) and I want to try this evening. What kind of fly should I try out? I know I have a couple wooly buggers other than that I'm not sure what the other ones are called.
Last edited by MrWood; 03/14/14 05:48 PM. Reason: I'll be fishing Denton creek. I walked I yesterday and it does connect to the lake. Shallowest part is probably 6".

Clousers, streamers, jig flies, some woolly buggers

Hey Tarponfly
How do you get that hourly pressure report on Usairnet? I browsed all over their website and couldn't find it.
How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?

Report: from Broken Bow Dad ( Brian ) catches his PB of 17 inches in spillway creek. After we left Spillway Creek, we arrived in the Red Zone. It was a bit busy. We started out near the bluffs and then I hear Riley say he has one! 10 mins later he lands a nice 19-20 inchers for a new personal best. A bit later we move downstream and slip into a spot that I located a big fish in. I pointed it out and said only target that one. A couple of us guys were watching this 10 year old cast like he has been doing this since he was young, lol. The kid is a champ. A couple mins into it, we see him set the hook. "I got one!" He says. He relizes what he has hooked and he looks down stream for his dad to let him know he hooked up again. Dad was half way down the Evening Hole. I yelled at his dad and he heard me and started his way towards us. Meanwhile, Riley is battling the little minnow up and down the pool like a pro. The little fish decided it wanted to swim around the top of the rapids and I could tell it was thinking about going straight down the rapids to get get away from the little kiddo. And it did! Riley was a pro and kept that fish hooked up the whole time. The dad finally showed up to watch his son fight an incredible battle with this fish. Then the time came to net the little fishy. We had broken 2 personal bests already this day. But, this fish might be the PB that sticks for a long time. 23-24 inch male Rainbow Trout caught by Riley. Report from DFW creeks Sunday. Water was very stained and cold. Temp dropped the creeks 5-10 degrees. Caught about 15 or so between the 4 of us. A couple mags are starting to show up now too. By Wednesday the creeks should be cleared up.

Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.
