I don't know Cypress but go fish and fish it hard. KVD makes an avg of 3 casts per minute all day. Just know that you can limit out in the last five minutes of the day. Have a good time, don't take breaks and work hard. It's anyone's game.

I've only fished one tourney so far and I had a blast, I was way more into it than just out there fishin for fun. The pressure was on and I made third place. Don't worry about what other people might have and what you have so far. I was sure the other guys were getting limits and most of them skunked. Just do you out there and stick with what you know and are confident with.

Fish to your strengths and concentrate on one fish at a time. Have fun. You can't win a tournament unless you enter it.

To prepare to fish tournaments you need to fish every chance you get regardless of the weather. Keep a log on the lakes you fish and patterns that you catch fish and those of anyone that shares.

Good Luck

The good news is that lake run east and west and it's surrounded by pine trees. The wind won't be pleasant, but it will still be fishable. And everyone will be fishing in the same conditions.. Fish hard, good luck and stay safe!

There are lots of pockets you can get out of the wind on Cypress. Fish shallow with square bills, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits. Good luck

Well wind was brutal and looked like rain ...it dint rain but looked nasty 18lbs won it due to a big fish of 8lbs by my good friend mr. jayroe. Apparently it was rough for all we and others only had mid day bites after 11 the fish picked up ended up eith 12 lbs no chexk but I did manage a good one (6.6) on shallow flat and the others were just swimmers but great exsperince the camaraderie is always worth it thanks again for advice to all...
