I have two speed spools that the paddles started to deteriate on. I called lews this morning got to speak to a real person and they will have me new paddles in the mail by late today or early Monday. She explained they had a bad batch and was extremely nice and answered all my questions. It's nice seeing a big company like that that could have easily blew it off step up and make it right. Just one more reason I'll continue to buy these reels.

Thanks for posting. I have a Super Duty that has paddles that are peeling and this explains - I hope I am as successful with the customer service folks. I love the reel and all my other Lews and couldn't figure out what was happening to the reel paddles.

Lews is the best company out there. They do a tremendous amount for the high school fishing programs

I have always used GARCIA'S, but bought a Lew's Tournment SS, a month ago and now just picked up the BB1 Pro with a speed stick. Can't wait to use it. Lew's have won me over, they fly!!!!!! I'm replacing all my Garcia's with Lew's, except the 2 Winch's, I do still love them.

Another satisfied customer - thanks to Ban-D for bringing this to our attention - I called this morning and in the amount of time it took to share my name and address - 2 new paddles are in the mail to replace the peeling ones I have on my Super Duty - the woman on the phone said they think they got a batch of paddles that did not "cook" long enough and they are doing their best to fix any issues - no charge -

Thanks for making us aware of the solution.

Just an update I called Friday and I got the knobs Monday afternoon! You can't beat that! As long as they're in business I'll be a customer!

They have the best customer service in the business IMO whatever your concern is they always make it right without question and they ship lightning fast! Excellent service!!
