My son reeled down on a beast!

The water exploded and it was on! We chased bait for a couple hours. Finally got to fishin! Just got the 4th pole in and the other 2 go down! 13#r, and a 7#r. Baiting back up my eldest cub hooks into a 21#. 10 minutes goes by and my middle cub reeled down on a 27#. I'm jacking with my dead go pro and trying to get a couple more poles in. I look at my son's pa rod he won last year at a benefit tourney. I told him boy you got somethin there! He was reelin the fish was peelin! 10 minutes later he gets the fish close to the toon. I'm standing and waiting with the net, fish goes under the boat. I'm thinking we just lost this fish. My son leans over the rail and sticks the pole in the water gets a few quick reels in and I see the no role and a huge shadow 30 or so inches below it. Fish roles I see the huge white belly. I said son that is at least a junior lake record. I try to scoop the fish only to find out he ain't gonna fit our net! I get his back 2/3 in and lean over to almost fall but my boys were instinctive enough to grab my legs! After getting the net and fish secured we hauled him in the boat!

The fish was a beast! I got to hold it help certify it and wore out my finger taking pics for them!
