I'd like to take my son and a couple nephews out crappie fishing, and wanted recommendations for guides. We mainly fish inshore saltwater, but my son would like to try some freshwater fishing.

Growing up I had a blast fishing for crappie in the spring months in ponds and lakes in south Louisiana , but I haven't caught a crappie in 20 years. I don't really have a very good idea of the best areas to target crappie.

Any advice on guides or areas to fish would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the Forum. Call Big Crappie on Cedar Creek. Very good guide service. Think you will be pleased with the experience.

Using the site for a while...this is really great to share fishing ideas and success with others.

welcome to the forum! As others have stated, you first need to choose where you would like to fish. Then it would possible for members to provide you the information you requested.

But welcome back to the ranks of crappie anglers. banana

In the Dallas area, Cliff Spindle, Spindleguideservice.com on Ray Roberts. I have been with him and he can put you on fish. Worth the money any day.
