First question: is there a big difference between the minn Kota 101lb and the 112lb besides the thrust difference?

Second question: Pros and cons of the ipilot connected to your graph and by itself?

Last question: does anyone else have a humminbird 787 c2i? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I recently converted from a Terrova 24 vdc to a 36vdc with 112. Yes, there is a big difference in terms of thrust between the 101 and 112. I also connected my terrova to my 1198 hummingbird - that is ILink and I love it. For me the added features of ILink with the LakeMaster chip were well worth the cost.

I have the 101 and if I could do it over I would get the 112lb. I haven't upgraded to the Ilink yeet but hopefully soon.

I used to have a 787 c2i but I sold it to my buddy to put on his kayak. I upgraded to a 798, 898 and a 998.
It was and still is a very good unit. I used it for three years and caught lots of fish with it. It will not interlink with the new units but it was the cats meow back when it came out.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking about selling my 787 c2i. It's in good condition and works great. What would a fair asking price be?

Go ahead and spend the money. Buy one of the 98/99 series. You will be alot happier!

Going to sell mine after the Buchanan tournament and will probably get a new graph if it sells. Dropped way to much money the past couple weeks.

Sheesh what kinda boat do you guys need such a big trolling motor for?

How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?

The main reason of a powerful TM is that you can chase down those at times fast moving schools of sandies / hybrids-stripers with out using your big engine as much...which at times will spook the fish or shutM down. Shutting down the big motor at the right time is important on coming up to a large school or a cluster of boats that are already in gauged with fish.... Also longer lasting time with power than a under powered TM to pull around that boat..
