Hello,
I managed to run across a Uncle Buck Pond Prowler that my friend doesn't use anymore. It has been sitting out side in the weather so I am sure that it not good for it but it was free. My son and I have been cleaning it and rewiring the small trailer that came with it. Anyway while we are lifting the tongue of the trailer tilting it back so we could work underneath we heard water running towards the back. It doesn't sound like a lot but I am sure it will make it heavy when trying to load and unload it off the trailer.

My question is can I just drill a small like a 1/8" or maybe even 1/4" in the rear of it while I have the trailer tilted up and let all of the water run out and then use some JB Weld to patch the small hole?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! Have great week!!!

If it was me, I'd drill a hole in the top or as high as you can and turn the boat over to drain. That way the patched hole is not in the water. You could patch the hole with silicone. You need to try to find out where the water got in.

I had a pond prowler and it got a hole from dragging it to the water. I tried a lot
of different stuff to patch the hole but nothing would hold very long. BPS may know or even have
what you need to do a patch that lasts. Don't think the JB stuff will last very long
but may be wrong.

My Bass Buster has two drain holes in the front, above the water line that are sealed with normal rubber flip plugs like on the transom of any boat. I suggest you go by an Academy, look at a Bass Buster and then buy plugs and drill your boat in a similar manner.

I have a bps pond prowlwer and they do take on a cup or so of water sometimes after all day.I would not drill any holes in your boat.Mine has two black rubber plugs(not the drain plug)that are both located side by side on the transom. You can drain water their by pulling one or both out. These boats will take on a very small amount of water esp.if it was left outside to get rain in .There are alumiminum rivets on mine by the seats that have holes in the middle and also the the boat is in two pieces that is stapled together with the black rubber trim around the outside. This will leak a little also.If it had standing water in it the rivets that hold the battery tie down leak some also.

I had a similar problem and ended up drilling a hole about the size of your thumb at the top of one of the pontoons, drained the water and bought one of the screw type rubber plugs that tighten up when you turn it. Worked like a champ and no leaks.

Okay...I have another stupid question! The foam on the inside is it just plain ole styrofoam or is it the foam to holds water when it gets wet like in a bass boat?
