My suggestion would be to try a lot of everything? The wind might decide for you?

Fish incove points where drop off goes from about 8 foot 14 foot and edge of creeks. Fishing is tough fish slow and be patient. Good luck !
thumb It IS! There will be some on here to give you some information. Sorry I don't live near or fish there.

As mentioned Fork has been tough at times due to the frontal passages that keep coming in every 2-3 days. The only weekend it was really good was the last weekend in March and we had a full week of warm weather and no fronts. We had an over & 16.24 in the JC Outdoors event. One trip it is moving baits & the next it is soft plastics. Try a Jerkbait around stick ups in staging areas going to the spawning areas. Fish should be loading up.
For good quality slot fish. Hit the creek channels and big bends in the creek. Pitch a Jig & Pig Black/Blue around the biggest trees on the channels. Work the root systems good. Look at Lake Fork Guide Andrew Grills posts and website. Some good info in his reports.

I just got back from Fork after 6 days. I had little kids with me for 4 of the 6 days so did not fish hard every day. Day one was Thurs, and it was cold but I got to bass fish from 1 to dark and managed 6 and lost 2 all on a red trap. All fish came from the cement around the bridge in Big Mustang. Water temps were around 49 or lower. Fri bass fished for a half day and could not get a bite on the trap but caught 2 and lost 2 on a gold suspending jerk bait in same areas. Tried back in Little Mustang with no luck. Sat it warmed up but did not bass fish. Sun found water up to 57 in some pockets of Big Mustang and started getting bit on a senko type worm with 1/16 ounce weight. Hooked one I couldnt turn in 3 feet of water.Fished very little for bass the rest of the time but the bites I did get were back on the jerk bait.Everyone is throwing a red trap and most say they have caught a few. Did not see one fish caught on the flats in shallow water. Should be better for you with the warmer weather. Dont forget about the little cement boat ramps and bridge cement. Or you can follow the boat show into Birch or Glade. Good luck

Wear a safety helmet to guard against guys fishing too close to you and slinging chatter baits and traps.
