Yesterday was my first time ever fishing Lake Limestone, and needless to say, I got my teeth kicked in! Water was slightly stained and the temp ranged from 55-57 degrees. Fished from back of the coves all the way to the mouth of them with swimjigs, spinnerbaits, square bills, and jerkbaits. Even flipped a number of docks, and didn't even have a bite. Are there just no bass in that lake or what? Can someone give me a starting point of what to look for, or how to "fish" for them on that pond?

You may need to fish for catfish on Limestone.

Limestone is pretty useless to me. Yes, I am sure that someone will chime in on how great it is, glad no one is going to fish it or more fish for me. TPWD hasn't put a single fish in Limestone since 1996.

Limestone is a great lake it is just tough right now! I fished a Budlight tournament there on Saturday and only 15 teams weighed in out of 57 entries. 1st and 2nd place had over 19lbs and big bass was 7.67. We had a Budlight tournament their last May and had 18lbs and barely got a check. Because of the severe winter we are having and low water temps most of the area lakes are slow right now but give it a couple of weeks and it will be awesome. Stay shallow in the back of the main creeks and cuts also the lake is stained more than normal so I would stay North of the Power lines till the water clears.

Only certain docks produce....I've fished everyone of them more than once.

Yeah have not been on the lake since the water came back up, but the fish are shallow, alot like Livingston. Which makes the bass finicky if the weather is not cooperating.
Im sure everything I knew has changed because of the influx of water 6 months ago. It used to be a fun lake to fish.

I was fishing all the way down at the dam, so I'm not sure how much further south I could've went. I hope you are right, I'm going to give it another chance, b/c it is the closest lake to Franklin. But, I may have to end up heading to Fayette just to make sure I can still catch a fish!
