Anyone else see this? I was out on the kayak with the girlfriend and we could see tons of smoke and then we could hear the fire crackling. So in all our wisdom we stuck around for a bit and watched it it was pretty cool though. I did manage a few videos and whatnot. Don't know how to post them though. Bright side is, I think they got it put out, and we should be able to scramble all up and down the creek without difficulty now lol

Didn't take a pole with me. Just paddling around this time. Saw a couple swirls, nothing to talk about though, literally only like two or three. Didn't make it out towards the lake though. Forestry service/haslet and trophy club fire department and police asked us to stay out of the water when I passed back by the boat ramp. Hope to go back put in the next day or two and check things out a little better.

Went out yesterday evening for a couple of hours, still quite a few small fires burning along the creek from TC Park west almost to the high school. We put out a half dozen along the creek with water from my small cooler. After dark, standing up on the creek bank on the north side, it was almost like being in a public campground with all the small fires burning within a few hundred feet of the creek bank. Wish we'd get the rain to green it all up again.
