Anyone know how much the Elite boys pay per event........
If I remember correctly; they have to put half upfront before the season starts?

Entry fees remain unchanged from 2013. The cost for pros to participate in each event is $1,500. The cost for co-anglers is $425. For more details, visit Bassmaster.com.

1,500.00 is a pro entry for a Open . Elite entry fee is 4,000 or maybe a little more.

I was thinking 8-10k per event. It's expensive. Makes ya wonder how some can continue to donate year after year, without winning much back

Incorrect. It's $40,000 for the season if paid in a lump sum, or $43,000 if paid in installments. 8 tournaments. $5,000 per event.

We had that same conversation over dinner the other night. Really and truly a good amateur, like Castledine on Rayburn right now, can stay on his home lake and fish tourneys and make way more than an Elite guy and not have near the expense.

That must be a change BASS made for 2014. I know they were $8k.

This is NOT correct.... The Elites pay $5,000 per tourney last year and this year unless paid all up front and it would be $43,000

2014 is the same as 2013 They have never paid $8,000 per event.

You are correct. I had listened to an Elite, that is no longer on tour, and he had said his entry fees were $8k in 2013. (fisherman would never exaggerate would they?) He was mistaken or for his benefit very unclear in his wording. Each payment, on the payment plan is $8k. Big difference!

I know the original question was for the entry fee's but how much do you estimate it costs for travel, lodging, food, pre-fishing assuming they fish all events? At least another 40K?
