Can you still use ramp at Elm Creek

Stillwater seniors used it today.

Jerry at Elm Creek said the boat ramp is good till the end of March. Most pontoon boats are struggling to launch there now.

You can launch as of now, but be careful putting your boat on the trailer. Several people are busting their props trying to power load.

thinking about going next week. has the fishing picked up any?

Jerry said he thinks we can make it until somewhere around middle of April. Like ZX250 said, be careful loading. Also, some people are forgetting the humps separating the ramps are higher than the ramp and ruining their lower units turning around at the ramp or turning as they back up. Be careful on the lake. If you can visualize what the rest of the banks look like now by comparing it to the middle of the lake from Elm Creek ramp to Turkey Bend only being 8 and 10 foot deep out of the channel. Water temps were 52 to 56.

The fishing is still pretty slow. I did manage 3 the last trip out after having 2 skunks. They were fatter than I've seen Ivie bass in a while. Fought like freight trains too!
