Hi Fellow Anglers,

I haven't seen any reports on this lake lately. Either someone is catching and keeping it quiet or it's been tough. I'm planning on hitting it this Saturday if wind permitted. I normally hit Cedar Creek but due to high gas prices I'm sticking to local lake for now. I'm going to try for crappies, sandies, and if I'm lucky perhaps some hybrid. This past winter I've been to the dark side since I don't have much luck with crappies. Are they moving shallow yet? How about shallow brushpiles, under water timber? Not sure if they moving in to prep for spawn yet due to crazy weather. Any pointers will be very appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I didn't fish it this weekend, but I got a water temperature report from my neighbor that went Saturday. Water was 48 - 53 degrees where he was at.

I fished LL yesterday and it is still tough. We caught lots of dinks and just 5 keepers. A few more weeks and things should pick up.

Was out Sunday and Monday. Sunday, I couldnt get my little 16' alum CC into the creek, which was my first spot to try. Went out and fished timber and BPs from 7 to 20 ft, no bites, fished slips, no bites. Went out to the main lake to try the sandies and got skunked, but I learned about "thumping/tom-tomming" which I would never do, but the guys fishing the same as we were 20 yds away were catching a few while banging the heck out of their deck.

Monday, walked in to the creek, about 15 other people were out, no one I talked to caught anything but carp, there were alot of big carp and a few sandies dying on the bank. IDK what that was about.

Sounds like Lewisville is tough right now. Wondering if it a waste of time to give a try.

The I-35 bridge held decent crappie and tons of sand bass this winter (up to around 4 weeks ago). I probably went once every weekend from the middle of Jan to the middle of Feb. The fishing was decent, if you could sneak a jig pass the sandbass.

I'll take any bites if I'm not catching crapoie. Thanks guys for the reports.

It's never a waste of time to go fishing if the weather permits. Catching is a bonus, fishing is enough by itself. banana
