Fished the lake for the first time today. Caught a couple nice 2-3lb fish. Lots of boats on the water. Anyone know what won the tournament? Water temp ranged from 66 in the morning to 72 in the afternoon. Spinnerbaits did most of the work today.

That lakes got plenty of bass in it.

Only been once, gonna go again this summer. It is good fishing. Seems to be pretty easy to fish. Alot of grass. Dont know how much the plant runs.

fished in the KATS this sat. and had a lot of fun out there. I was having huge success b/w 7-9am throwing a brown/purple culprit hawg w pegged 1/4oz sinker. throwing it on the matted grass that builds up on the bank in 2-4 fow. almost every cast was a blowup close to the weed edge. A lot of misses, some by me not paying attention and setting the hook hard enough but a lot were the fish missing. but just about every matted grass bed on the north side was really good. all LMB caught were 2-4lbs. ended up winning the social class at KATS using that technique all day. had 4 decent ones 7-9am with about 15 misses, the 3 more good ones from 12-2pm same concept. used the culprit i mentioned earlier and a pumpkin zoom brushhawg, a grande bass rattlesnake trophy hunter. water was 67-69deg, overcast majority of day with heavy fog in the am. wind blowing strong from the south 10-20 pretty much all day. even though i missed a lot of fish, i just kept at it and they always came back around within 5-10min. prob the most fun i have had bass fishing in a long time, top water blowups are the best!

Saw you guys at the Roadhouse at lunch time yesterday. I was just a little jealous I had to go back to work and you guys were going back to the lake.
