A hundred yards no in the reeds we never had a problem before...I can dee a bank in a cove but the reeds dang lol

Lake Worth Wednesday Night 2014 Rules

These rules apply to all contestants entering tournament. Violations of any of these rules will result in an appropriate penalty or disqualification. It is each teams responsibility to know and completely understand the rules set forth for these tournaments. Any violation of these rules will result in a two event suspension. Protests must be in writing no more than 5 minutes after the weigh in scales have closed. All decisions are final and are not subject to an appeal.

Participation and eligibility

Participation in Lake Worth Wednesday Night tournaments are open to contestants who are 16 years of age or older. Anyone under 16 years of age must have written consent from parent/gurdian unless with adult 18 years of age or older.

Boat requirements
All entered boats must have all safety items required by the United States Coast Guard, a permanently mounted aeration system and no extended or raised fishing decks above the gunnel. All outboards shall not exceed the maximum horsepower rating of the United States Coast Guard.
State Laws
All state, local and federal laws must be obeyed.

Teams
All teams shall consist of no more than two anglers, although a contestant may enter this tournament as a one man team. Only registered contestants are allowed in the boats during official tournament hours. With the exception of an emergency situation, both team members must stay in entered boat at all times during official tournament hours. If for any reason a team member has to get out of the boat, all fishing must stop until both team members are back in the boat.

Practice
Lake Worth is off limits from 12am Wednesday until start of the tournament Wednesday at 6pm for the purpose of locating fish or gaining knowledge of water conditions. If you must be on the water for any reason please contact tournament directors.

Registration
Registration will close at 5:55pm. If your going to be late please contact Vince(913-530-0034) and arrangments will be made. Refunds will be a case by case decision, however, once the tournament begins, there are no refunds.

Safety
All teams must have a United States Coast Guard approved life vest on and buckled anytime the outboard is in gear. Waist belts are not acceptable for use while moving to another location. The driver of each vessel must have an emergency kill switch connected to his life vest anytime the outboard is in gear. Tournament director reserves the right to make any changes for safety precautions.

Sportsmanship
All teams entering tournament are expected to show true sportsmanship and common courtesy at all times. If approching another boat you must allow 100 feet from the bow of there boat before you may begin fishing unless consent is given. If going behind another contestant you must allow 50 feet from the stern of that boat. No team at any time, shall block an entry to a fishing area that is considered a public waterway.

Fishing times
Fishing times will be announced at all events during registration time. ALL TEAMS MUST BE IN LINE WITH THEIR CATCH NO LATER THAN 20 MINUTES AFTER THE TOURNAMENT HAS ENDED. Any team not in line by said time will not be able to weigh in their catch for the day.

Off Limits areas
All areas marked by state, federal, local authorities and areas determined by tournament director are not allowed to be fished (no exceptions). 820 bridge is no wake at take off.

Fishing methods
Only one rod and reel may be used at anytime by each team member. No trolling is allowed. When sight fishing, all bass must be hooked in the mouth to be considered a legal catch. All fish must be caught alive and on artificial bait with the exception of pork rinds.
Length requirements and scoring
Only black bass, smallmouth and Kentucky spotted bass will be allowed to weigh. All fish must be 14" in length. Please check your board with the tournament directors board. Only five fish are allowed in the live well at anytime during tournament hours. No culling of dead fish. A dead fish can not be weighed in for big fish competition. There is a 2 pound penalty and loss of fish for any fish not meeting size requirements. There is a .50 pound penalty for any dead fish brought to the weigh in. All Bass must be returned to the the lake as soon as the fish are weighed. Any fish bbrought to the scales not in a bag with water will not be weighed and contestant will recieve a zero weight.

Ties
Ties will be settled by combining 2 places and splitting equal

Championship
The championship will be a two day accumulated weight tournament. To qualify for the championship you must have fished in 1 Wednesday night tournament.
