Went up to Joe Pool today hoping to load up on sand bass and to hook into a hog of a largemouth. Arrived at the lake at 10:30 (not by choice, had it been my choice we would've been there at daybreak) and launched. Went across the lake and threw white/chartreuse colored spinnerbaits up along the banks in the coves. No hits, not a big deal, we have all day right? So we thought. After fishing coves, we realized yhe wind had died down enough to use jigging spoons in the middle of the lake for sand bass (70-80 ft). We used silver/reflective jigging spoons and jigged about 5-10 ft off of the bottom. My dad, Josh, got a few hits but no luck. We tried multiple spots on the lake for sand bass but still no luck. After a while, we went into one of the more popular creeks ams fished it down and back using spinnerbaits, rattle traps, banjo lures, plastic worms, and paddle tail swimbaits. After fishing the creek, we headed home. No luck for today. Thank you for reading my post.

We had a good day on Pool today. Caught 10, the best 3 were 8.6, 7.6 & just under 4. We got on the water about 1:30.

My boys!

I do hunt, and I do fish, and I don't apologize to anybody for hunting and fishing.

The main lake water temp's for today, was 56.8 that's the highest I found today in the back of some coves with creek channels was 57-58. I fished for a few hours caught some good bass, and got broke off on a big toad, she got wrapped around a tree and all I heard was pop, and my exact word's Mother Beep Beep Beep.

What were you using? And were you in a creek? If so, which one?
