http://www.bassmaster.com/blog/faith-family-friendsIn my opinion, this was a great and somewhat humble blog. What I really appreciated was the fact that he even went back to answer a lot of questions or comments that were said. Too many times a lot of the pros post their blogs and not even as much as a thank you to comments or any questions being asked. I've found a new respect for this gentlemen. Well done E2.

Went to bps in Garland the other day. I had one of my girls, 7 years old, with me- he made a point to address her, shake her hand, and talk to her first. He's been my favorite pro for a long while. It's real nice to meet someone you respect professionally and see that they live up to the term professional. A true class act!

The big names don't get to be that way for nothing. They put in the work and constantly put themselves out there. KVD was the same way when I met him, making everyone feel that they were important to him.

He kind of got some bad PR on the Classic coverage. Would have been best if they didnt show him yelling at those spectators. My initial reaction was that he was being harsh, but when I think about it, would be so frustrating dealing with spectators when things arent going well and you're leading the classic on the last day. Edwin seems like a good dude.

The first time they came to Amistad I had a run in with E2. It was the week before BASS and I was fishing a hump. Edwin drove by and killed his motor and said " I would appreciate if you didnt fish this hump because I have a big tournament next week." I replied I am fishing a tournament right now. That did not make him too happy and he started up did a circle on the top of the hump and left. I relize that they are fishing for a lot more stakes but I do not think the average angler should back down a week prior to there tournament.

6 posts.. and thats one of them. it would have been better to have just kept that nonsense to yourself. E2 is a great guy who is extremely professional. I saw him 2 weeks ago at Bass Pro in Garland, pumping the high school anglers up, and giving them lots of tips/tactics.

Very hard to believe any of these guys would do that a week before a tournament especially if you were fishing a tournament. Now guides acting that way is another story.

Can Elite anglers even be on the water a week prior to a tournament? They have an off limits policy prior to official practice days. That just doesn't seem like something Edwin or any other Elite angler would do. Totally out of character.

I met Edwin over 15 yrs. Ago when he was up and coming and have encountered him a few times since at various fishing functions. He is still one of the most sincere and personable pro's I have ever met. I to find it hard to believe he would disturb any area somebody else was fishing. As far as that goes,I find it hard to believe anybody wuold tell another person that they would be fishing a tourney in a week and prefer that everyone should consider it off limits. I plan on fishing Fork tomorrow so I would appreciate if all others stayed away.
